2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Ghana to face South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia in Group G

Ghana has been pitted in Group G of the African qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be staged in Qatar.

Nicknamed the Black Stars, the West African side will face South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia in their quest to return to the world stage two years later.

The qualifiers will begin in February 2020 with new Ghana coach CK Akonnor set to begin his stint with a clean slate to try and send the team to the World Cup after missing out on the last edition held in Russia 2018.

In all 120 matches will be played in this round of the qualifiers across the various groups with 10 teams expected to progress to the final qualifying round.
