2022 World Cup: They need to take pre-season seriously - Emmanuel Agyeman Badu charges Black Stars players

Former Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu has charged the current Black Stars players to take pre-season training serious at their respective clubs ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Players won't have enough time to train together at their national teams ahead of the global showpiece because the tournament is scheduled for November 21 to December 18 in Qatar.

Ghana have been placed in Group H together with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea for the World Cup.

"They need to take the pre-season seriously because where they have placed the World Cup this year will be crucial for every country, because all the countries will be coming with their best places," Agyeman Badu said as quoted by citisportsonline.com.

"The changes FIFA has made with the substitutions will be very crucial to the World Cup, that’s why I said this year’s competition will be the toughest ever.

"And that is why Ghanaian players must take the pre-season seriously.
