This was after the Black Stars striker sat out for the game against CR Belouizdad with a suspension; fortunately, his team won 2-1 coming from behind.

Daniel Lomotey, who replaced Sowah in the game, scored the equaliser for the Ghana champions.

Speaking ahead of the game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday in Kumasi, head coach Adotey charged his star player to deliver and show he deserves an automatic starting slot after returning to the squad.

"Jonathan Sowah missed our match against the Algerian due to suspension that kept him out of the match.

"I’m 100% sure he will be in the start-list against Yanga tomorrow. So, let’s hope Jonathan can deliver.

"While he will be replacing another colleague, he has to prove his worth and prove to the nation why he has to take his place in the starting list."
