Karela United returned to winning ways in their match week eleven game against Aduana Stars on Saturday afternoon.

Karela United beat Aduana Stars 2-1 to end their winning run.

Before the encounter 17th place Karela United had drawn four and lost one in five games. 1st place Aduana Stars had won all five games.

Karela United goalkeeper Abdul Ganiu pulled a superb save to stop Kelvin Obeng from scoring in the 37th minute.

In the 41st minute, striker Samuel Attah Kumi scored to put Karela United in front with a header from a superb corner from Fatawu Mohammed.

After the break, the home side continued to push more men forward. Evans Adomako's shot straight at the goalkeeper after receiving a through pass from Owusu Boakye in the 5oth minute.

Evans Adomako extended Karela United's lead to 2-0 in the 60th minute.

Substitute Gabriel Akwasi Mensah scored the consolation goal for Aduana Stars in the 78th minute.

Karela United will play Nations FC in their next game and Aduana Stars will clash with Accra Lions.
