Samartex now have 35 points, five more than the Fire boys who missed the opportunity to go top of the league.

Just eight minutes into the game, Baba Hamadu Musa struck the opening goal for the visitors at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Stadium in Dormaa Ahenkro.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh then scored a spectacular second goal for Nurudeen Amadu’s side 12 minutes after the game’s opener.

Coach Yaw Acheampong’s side tried to mount a fight back late in the game when they reduced the deficit to one following Sampson Cobbinah’s 76th minute goal to make it 2-1.

Samartex head on to claim the win.

Aduana FC will next be in action in two weeks after their match week 19 fixture against Medeama is postponed because of their involvement in the CAF Champions League.

Meanwhile, Samartex will take on Nations FC at home next Sunday in their week 19 fixture.
