Dreams Football Club made a strong push to avoid relegation from the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday after beating Legon Cities FC 2-0.

The team from Dawu secured the important victory thanks to a brace from striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah.

Today’s clash between Dreams FC and Legon Cities was played at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

It is the outstanding Week 24 Ghana Premier League game that was rescheduled as a result of Dream FC’s assignment in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Knowing that the team needed all three points today, Coach Karim Zito’s side started the game on a bright note and piled pressure on the visiting team.

Just eight minutes into the first half, Agyenim Boateng Mensah equalized to give the hosts the lead.

A minute later, the forward found the back of the Legon Cities FC net to seal the victory for his team.

The win has taken Dreams FC to 13th on the Ghana Premier League table and three places away from the relegation zone.
