Accra Lions clinched a hard-fought 1-0 win against Bofoakwa Tano at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions, currently placed 8th with 33 points, aimed to bolster their standing, while Bofoakwa Tano, struggling in 16th with 26 points, sought to escape relegation threats.

The match commenced with Accra Lions and Bofoakwa Tano showcasing early dominance, but it was Accra Lions' Sadat Seidu who broke the deadlock in the 39th minute, courtesy of an assist from winger Bernard Kesse.

The second half witnessed tactical shifts as Accra Lions' Blessing Asuman Dankwa substituted the injured Seidu, while Bofoakwa Tano introduced midfielder Sammy Osae Akoto and attacker Dacosta Aboagye.

Despite Bofoakwa Tano's intensified offensive efforts, Accra Lions' defense held firm, denying any equalizers and securing a crucial victory in their pursuit of league success.

Accra Lions will take on Hearts of Lions away on match week 25. Bofoakwa Tano will stay home and welcome Aduana Stars.
