Dreams FC vs RTU

Dreams Football Club defeated Real Tamale United (RTU) 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon to cement a place in the Ghana Premier League next season.

The club before the game today was in danger of being relegated from the Ghanaian top-flight league.

As a result, the team set up strong with head coach Abdul Karim Zito instructing his boys to fight for their lives.

In a game played at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, RTU scored first through Lord Adabo after just four minutes into the first half to take the lead.

Dreams FC laboured to come from behind to make light work of the visitors in the game attacker Agyenim Boateng Mensah scored five goals.

Benjamin Bature also netted a brace with Ismael Dede getting the other goal to seal the big victory.

The victory takes Dreams FC to 11th on the Ghana Premier League table with 45 points.

That means that regardless of the result from the team’s final league match of the season, the side cannot be relegated.
