Ghana's national team, the Black Stars, suffered a setback during their training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Tuesday evening, when goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott was hit by a falling goalpost.

The 26-year-old had just recovered from a finger injury that had kept him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and was visibly in pain as he limped off the field with the help of the medical team.

Wollacott's condition is yet to be assessed, but he is expected to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury ahead of the team's upcoming matches against Angola.

The Black Stars are set to play the first leg of their double-header against Angola on March 23, with the reverse fixture scheduled for March 27 in Luanda.

Ghana is currently joint top of the Group E table, having secured four points from their last two games, a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw against the Central African Republic.
