Ghana coach, Chris Hughton has admitted that the Black Stars have not been great in terms of results.

The former Premier League manager's admission comes after Black Stars' 2-2 draw against Mozambique in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

In the final Group B game, Ghana needed to win to make it to the next round of the competition.

However, despite taking the lead twice with Jordan Ayew scoring a spot-kick in each half conceded two late goals against the Os Mambas.

Speaking after the game, Hughton accepted the poor performance and admitted that the senior national team has been great in producing results.

"I take responsibility for this performance and admit my results with the Black Stars have not been good enough," the 64-year-old said.

Ghana, who were seeking to end their 42-year AFCON trophy drought kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 defeat against before being held to a 2-2 drawn game against Egypt.

The results now leave the Black Stars at the 3rd spot with just two points in Group B.
