2023 U-23 AFCON: Black Meteors will make Ghanaians proud – GFA Veep

GFA Vice President Mark Addo believes that the Ghana U-23 national team has the potential to make the nation proud at the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The team secured their spot in the Olympic qualifying tournament after a 2-1 aggregate victory against Algeria on Tuesday, ending Ghana's 19-year absence from the Games.

Speaking at an event attended by footballghana.com, Addo revealed that the GFA is committed to providing the necessary resources to ensure that the team is fully prepared for the tournament.

"We will leave no stone unturned in terms of their preparation and scouting for the technical team to ensure they get the best players out there to represent us in this tournament," he said.

Addo's comments come as the team faces a tough challenge in the upcoming tournament in Morocco. However, he is confident that the team has what it takes to perform at the highest level and make a mark on the tournament.

"This is just the beginning, we have one foot in the door, and we have to get another one in. In Sha Allah, they will make us proud when they get to Morocco."
