The national U-20 team, Black Satellites drew 2-2 with Chinese U-19 team in an international friendly used to commission the newly-constructed Cape Coast Stadium on Tuesday.

The game which had the President John Dramani Mahama and the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Sun Baohong in attendance was used to test the facilities at the 15,000 capacity stadium.

China drew first blood after scoring in the first half before Charles Boateng got the equalizer for Ghana.

Budding talent Evans Mensah shot Ghana into the lead after the break after striking from the edge of the penalty box before the visitors drew level late in the game.

Also in attendance at the game was the Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpujye as well as the President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi as well members of the GFA Executicve Committee and GHALCA.

The new $ 33 million facility constructed as a gift by the Chinese government is expected to host the finals of the 2016 MTN FA Cup as well as Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Rwanda.
