A fifth minute strike by Isaac Mensah was enough to keep Premier League leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak on the summit of the log after a lone goal victory over Sekondi Hasaacas at an empty Accra Sports Stadium today.

Hearts played their 12th league game of the season beginning a two-match behind close doors ban at home but managed to secure a vital win to keep their title hopes alive.

The Phobians had an early goal in the 5th minute which ended the first half in their favour against Hasmal.

After recess, the away side fought so hard to at least get a point from the game after a penalty appeal by Hasaacas in the 70th minute after their striker Samuel Afful went down was not given.

Nevertheless, Hasaacas had a goal disallowed in the 78th minute after an indirect free kick beat the Hearts goalie without touching anyone.

Despite their efforts, Hearts defended their lead to make sure their next game as leaders.
