I did not come to snatch Kenichi’s job – Sergio Traguil

Newly appointed coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Sergio Traguil has debunked reports suggesting that he has come to snatch Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s job.

Sergio Traguil according to the management of Accra Hearts of Oak was initially appointed to handle the youth team of the club while Kenichi focuses on the senior side.

However, Portuguese coach was unveiled on Thursday as the head coach of the former African champions three days after the mutual contract termination with their Japanese-American Kenichi raising concerns that he was contacted to come and take over from coach Keni.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Nhyira FM, Traguil denied reports he was brought to Ghana to steal Kenichi’s job.

"That is wrong, I didn’t come to take the job of Kenichi Yatsuhashi or anyone, I came to develop the youth system of Hearts of Oak but i am Hearts worker right, so the board asked me to take over the senior team and that’s what i will do till whatever the board will decide" Sergio Traguil said on Nhyira FM

The Portuguese who will be assisted by Yaw Preko and Nassamu Yakubu will take charge of his first game when the Phobians host Dreams fc this weekend in the Ghana Premier League.
