Medeama’s CAF Confederations Cup group opponent Mouloudia Bejaia, will miss the services of defender Salim Benali when both teams take to the field on August 23 after being expelled for violent conduct.

The 24 year old punched the stretcher-bearer in their game against Medeama at the Essipong stadium on June 29 and has been handed a four (4) match suspension and fined $ 5,000 by CAF.

Benali thus misses his team’s home and away game against TP Mazembe on July 17 and 27 as well their away trip to Young Africans on August 13 and the home clash with Medeama on August 23.

Mouloudia Bejaia are currently second in group A with 4 points 2 points adrift group leaders TP Mazembe while Medeama occupy the 3rd spot with a point after two games.
