8 facts about Rangers new signing Joe Dodoo

Rangers today confirmed the signing of Joe Dodoo on loan from Leicester City on a four year deal, and we’ve pulled together some fast facts about the 21 year-old.

--Dodoo got his senior career off to the perfect start, netting a hat-trick on his Leicester debut at Gigg Lane against Bury in the Capital One Cup.

--Four days later, he made his Premier League debut in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at Dean Court. He also netted in the Capital One Cup in a 2-1 triumph over West Ham United.

--In all, he has a record of four goals in four matches for Leicester City.

--His exploits in that competition saw him named in the ‘Team of the Tournament’ alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku.

--He made a short-term loan switch to Bury in November 2015, scoring once in his five games there.

--Dodoo has represented England at youth level, but is also eligible to play for Ghana.

--Indeed, he was called up to the full Ghana squad for the first time at the end of last season, although he didn’t feature in their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius as he awaited FIFA clearance.
