A Kotoko representative claims they can still sign Patrick Razak

A representative of Asante Kotoko has stated that they can still sign Ghanaian player Patrick Razak despite his move to Guinea.

Razak has joined Guinean side Horoya from Hearts of Oak on a two-year deal.

Before the 23-year old's move away from Hearts, Kotoko were keen on bringing him in as he was marked as one of the key signings requested by Kotoko new coach CK Akunnor.

"This should not be an issue. Now I’m told the boy is in Guinea and he is going to play for Horoya FC and who knows, Kotoko can even contact Horoya if they will be interested in selling Patrick Razak… But we have not gotten there yet." Said Kotoko’s Deputy Greater Accra Representative, Nana Kwame Dankwah

“I’m even surprised the way people are taking the whole issue. Kotoko as a club has not written officially to Hearts of Oak to request or ask them to negotiate for the services of Patrick Razak. Just that Kotoko’s PRO spoke on one of the networks and said that very soon people will see Razak playing for the Kotoko.

He argued that when Sarfo Duku made those comments about Razak, he said the player might be joining Kotoko soon, adding that soon can be anytime and not necessarily immediately.

“I think that we should let sleeping dogs lie and pray for the player to continue his career wherever he finds himself,” Dankwah said.
