Asante Kotoko defender, Habib Mohammed has selected centre-back Abdul Ismail Ganiu as his best player in the team for the 2020/2021 football season.
The two players last season played key roles for the Porcupine Warriors club in both the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup.
Reflecting on the season in an interview with Space FM, Habib Mohammed says Abdul Ganiu was his best player at Asante Kotoko.
“Abdul Ganiu is my best player of the season in our team (Kotoko). He was injured and stayed home for almost a year, but his performance after his return was wonderful.
“When I'm paired with any central defender, I feel ok but Abdul Ganiu is the one I feel very good to be paired with,” the defender who can also play in midfield shared.
While Habib Mohammed is certain of staying at Asante Kotoko for next season, Abdul Ganiu could cross carpets to play for Hearts of Oak.
He has been linked with the league champions and is a defender that could be signed by the Phobians as the team prepares to play in Africa next season.
