Abubakar Fatawu named King Faisal interim head coach

Kumasi King Faisal has appointed Abubakar Fatawu as the interim head coach of the club, Footballghana.com understands.

Head coach of the side, Nurudeen Amadu has left his role following their matchday 24 defeat to Elmina Sharks on Sunday at the Ndoum Sports Complex.

The 1-0 defeat condemned the Kumasi-based side to their sixth consecutive defeat.

Faisal's last win in the Ghana top-flight dates back to 25 February when they beat WAFA 2-1 in Sogakope.

They have slipped to 13th on the league table with 29 points from 24 matches.

Fatawu will be in charge until a new trainer is appointed.

King Faisal will host Accra Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium in the matchday 25 games this weekend.
