According to reports fromLa Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan could be left witha hefty fine to pay after graffiti was sprayed on the walls inside theJuventus Stadium, following Milan'scontroversial 2-1 defeat to the currentSerie A League leaders.

Following reports fromLa Gazzetta, the word 'ladri' (thieves) was written upon plaques which line the walls heading into the guest dressing room which were occupied by Milan. The same plaques commemorating the 2005 and 2006 Serie A titles, that were taken away fromJuventus following the 'Calciopoli' scandal.

AC Milan and their fans are not the only ones to feel hard done by referees 'favouring' the Italian Giants, with Napoli fans mocking decisions in the previous top of the League clashby holding up a banner saying "it's a penaltyfor Juventus" every time a decision was awarded against them.

Napoli's president,Aurelio De Laurentiis, went on to say the following:"there are banners which put things in a much clearer way than I could. It's going to be important to see technology applied in football."

Referees have and will continue to be a key topic of discussion not only in Italy, but also in other countries where football is such a dominant sport. They continue to come under scrutiny with many fans waiting for the so called 'better days' where advanced technology will be introducedinto the game to completely eradicate unfair decisions.
