AC Milan Executives Spotted in London Amid Rumours of Interest in Tottenham Star

AC Milan executives were spotted at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as the Blues beat Premier League champions Leicester City 3-0.


And reports in Italy are claiming that the representatives of the Serie A club were on a scouting mission in the English capital, as they hope to sign midfield reinforcements from Premier League sides in January.

Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas is said to be a leading target, butItalian website CalcioMercatoWebare claiming that Milan are also interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela.


The publication also claims that the executives were using their trip to rule out certain signings. However, they are quite keen on getting Lamela back to Italy.

The Argentinean spent two years at AS Roma before signing for Spurs in 2013. He has made 11 appearances for the London side so far this season, and is being quite productive, having assisted six goals and scoring two of his own in all competitions.


Since signing for Spurs, he has scored 19 goals and made 30 assists in 118 appearances.

He angered fans during Tottenham's 2-0 victory over Manchester City before the international break after arguing with in-form man Son Heung-Min over a penalty and then missing it.


But speaking to the club'sofficialwebsitethree days ago,he insisted that he always gives his best for the team.

I try to do my best every game and if I can't always play well, I try to run and run and always help the team. We always need to show that we want to win."


He wasn't at his sharpest when Spurs played West Brom on Saturday. The team scraped a 1-1 draw through Dele Alli's late leveller, but the former Roma man was hauled off midway through the second half.
