According to Sportitalia, AC Milan are leading the race to sign Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan in the ongoing transfer window.

Contacts between AC Milan and Sassuolo over midfielder Alfred Duncan have been ongoing for weeks and look to be hurtling towards completion.

The Neroverdi midfielder, who the club value at a reported €20m, could be the perfect signing for AC Milan; the Rossoneri seeing bids for Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic rejected, as well as missing out on the potential signings of Cesc Fabregas and Denis Suarez to Barcelona and Arsenal respectively.

However, Roma are also said to be interested in Duncan, yet the player would prefer a move to AC Milan over the Italian capital.

Duncan has been in sublime form for the Mapei Stadium outfit in the ongoing, scoring three goals in 12 games.
