AC Milan forwardCarlos Bacca claims that he rejected a £12m-a-year offer to move to the Chinese Super Leaguein favour of staying with the Rossoneri.

China is fast becoming the go to destination for players looking for a lucrative pay check. However, speaking toSky Italia, Bacca argued that money is not everything, and he wants to stay at the San Siro to propel AC Milan back into Europe's premier competition.

Bacca stated:"I remain at Milan, there was a great offer from China, but I want to bring the Rossoneri to Europe. You resist with your head and keep your feet on the ground. Money is not everything in life. First there is God, then my family - these are the most important things.

"I would earn a lot of money but I wouldn't be happy, so I am glad to be here".

The 30 year-old scored 34 times in 72 appearances for Sevilla prior to a £30m switch to the San Siro. Despite scoring an impressive 18 goals in his debut season for Milan, Bacca has struggled somewhat this year, finding the net in the league on only 9 occasions.

But Bacca knows what is expected, and is keen to repay the club for their faith in him."The fans expect a lot of me, that is a responsibility and I will do more for this team. From the first day Adriano Galliani called me to come here, I didn't think twice.

"I was fine at Sevilla, but when he called me I was really pleased. Now I am happy here, I feel at the centre of the project. The coach and club have faith in me.I am not scoring a lot of goals right now, but I am working hard to change this situation. I feel fine physically and mentally and know that a striker has to score goals."

AC Milan currently sit 7th in Serie A, a point behind rivals Inter Milan, theirnext match is at home to Chievo on Saturday.
