Accra Hearts of Oak hand players two weeks break

Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have handed their players a 12 day break following the halt in the Ghana Premier League.

Ghana’s op flight league will be on a break to allow for the hosting of the West Africa Football Union competition, which starts on September 9th and end on 24th of the same month.

Accra Hearts of Oak are third on the League and are chasing a first league title since 2007. The Phobians trail league leaders Aduana by just four points.

Meanwhile, several of the club’s players have been handed call ups into the lack Stars team B.

Kwame Kizito, Captain Thomas Abbey, skillful midfielder Winful Cobinna and Fatawu Mohammed are all in the squad for the upcoming competition.

The 12 day beat will serve as a period for the players to rest following a long season that has seen the Accra-based club in the Premier League title race as well as the FA Cup.
