Accra Lions duo of Frederick Asante and Jacob Amu Mensah have joined Chinese second-tier club, Shanghai Jiading.
The Ghana Premier League outfit on Tuesday morning confirmed the transfer of the pair to the Chinese club.
Confirming the move, the General Manager of the club, Ishmael Hamidu extended best wishes to the duo, admitting Accra Lions will miss the players for the remainder of the league season.
“Both players contributed a lot to the success of our club, they deserve a chance for greener pastures even though we know that we will miss them sorely in the rest of our Ghana Premier League campaign!”

Accra Lions have been impressive this season, and are currently second on the Ghana Premier League table after 21 games.
