Accra Lions goalkeeper Daniel Afful says he is not getting carried away following a brilliant start to the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The former Right to Dream Academy shot stopper kept clean sheet when Accra Lions strolled to a 1-0 win over Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League on Monday.

Evans Botchway scored the only goal as Lions collected all three points at their make-shift home in Sogakope.

Afful, who joined the club before the start of the season made some important saves in the game to help his side secure all points against Legon Cities.

"Credit to my teammates, they all did well. It was not only my effort. At a point I realize my teammates were tired and I had to step up," he said.

The talented goalkeeper was named Man of the Match following his dazzling display.

"This is my first clean sheet in the season and I am hoping to keep more. Hopefully, I will do that in our next game," he added.
