Abass Samari, a midfielder with the Accra Lions, has been named the NASCO Player of the Month for February as a result of his fine performance.
Samari defeats Francis Andy Kumi of Kotoku Royals, Steven Mukwala of Asante Kotoko, and Hafiz Kontah of Bechem United to win the prize.
The Accra-based Black Meteors experienced a successful month as the midfielder scored four goals in four games and was named Man of the Match three times.
Samari scored two goals in the tie with Kotoku Royals and two in the victory against Bibiani GoldStars. He also scored in the victory over Karela United on the road.
After two away victories against Tamale City and Karela United, Accra Lions are presently second in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Accra Lions will take on Dreams FC in their match week 21 game on Monday. The game will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium in the afternoon.
