Accra Lions midfielder Hagan Frimpong joins Greek club GS Ilioupolis

Accra Lions FC have confirmed the transfer of midfielder Hagan Frimpong to Greek second tier club GS Ilioupolis.

The 20-year-old, who is also a Ghana Under-23 international, has been a standout performer for the Accra-based team, scoring four goals in 41 Premier League matches.

Frimpong's departure from Accra Lions is a significant loss for the team, which is currently second on the league log.

However, the transfer represents a great opportunity for the young midfielder to showcase his skills in a new environment and gain valuable experience playing in a different league.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Accra Lions expressed their best wishes for Frimpong, saying: "ALFC wishes Hagan the best of luck in this new step in his career!"

The club's management also thanked Frimpong for his service to the team and wished him well in his future endeavors.

GS Ilioupolis, the Greek club that has secured Frimpong's signature, will be hoping that the young midfielder can replicate his impressive performances for Accra Lions and help them achieve their goals in the second tier of Greek football.
