TFF First League side Adanaspor have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Isaac Donkor as a free agent in the on-going summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old penned a one-year deal with the club after successful negotiations and passing his mandatory medicals.

Donkor joins the Turkish second division side following the termination of his contract with Austrian outfit Sturm Graz after reports that the latter has slashed its transfer budget by 25 percent.

He joined the Austrian side in September from Universitatea Craiova in Romania and was a key cog of the team.

The Ghanaian international made 14 appearances for the club as they finished 6th on the league table with 19 points after 31 matches played last season.

Donkor, who was born in Kumasi, started his playing career at Inter Milan where he was a key figure for the youth side.

He managed to make his Serie A debut in the 2014/15 season but after that had to be loaned out for regular playing time.

At Cesena, he featured in 38 games for two seasons, and before that he capped 20 times for Bari and had seven appearances with US Avellino 1912.

He returned to Inter on loan from Cesena in 2017 before he made a free transfer to CS Universitatea Craiova two years later.
