Aduana Stars operations manager George Gyawu says Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu and his bodyguard incited fans of Wa All Stars to beat their CEO Albert Commey at the Wa Park on Wednesday.

According to him, coach Konadu who once managed All Stars ordered his bodyguard to manhandle Commey in a furor which saw the bodyguard slap and kicked the former Hearts of Oak spokesman.

"Fans joined the fray and brutally subjected him to beating before police officers rushed to rescue him," Gyawu told Accra-based Happy FM.

Commey was driven to the Wa Police Hospital and wrote a police statement.

Wa All Stars CEO Oduro Nyarko said he was told Maxwell Konadu's bodyguard beat the hardworking club administrator.

Aduana claim Konadu ordered his bodyguard to beat Commey over 'distasteful' comments passed on radio about his selection of local players into the national team.
