Aduana Stars coach Yusif Abubakar believes they have what it takes to perform well in next year's CAF Champions League.
Aduana will represent Ghana in the competition after winning last season's Ghana Premier League title.
Many fear, Aduana will just add up to the numbers but coach Abubakar insists his side are poised to break the jinx that has engulfed Ghanaian clubs in the competition.
"For sometime now, no Ghanaian club has been able to get into the money zone; the last team to go close was Medeama but then they were kicked out," Abubakar told Graphic Sports.
"This will be a very big challenge and if you look at the changed modalities now, you are to play two matches before you get to the group stage unlike the previous years when you play three games before you qualify. But that does not matter because you still have to qualify and that is our target."
"I believe we have the players to make the group stage. Maybe we will lose one or two players but 80 per cent of the players will be retained and we will maintain the same determination we had in last season's league."
Berekum Chelsea are the last Ghanaian club to reach the lucrative stage in 2012.
