Aduana Stars defender Wahab Adams is close to joining Kumasi Asante Kotoko, according to reports.

The towering defender has emerged as Coach Steve Pollack's prime target as the club prepares for the upcoming season.

Adams, who helped Aduana to the league triumph is reported to have agreed to join the Porcupine Warriors despite qualifying the club to the Champions League.

The hard tackling defender's contract with the "Ogya Boys" ended after the season but the Premier League Champions want to tie the defender down.

If Adams joins the Porcupine Warriors, he becomes the second player to join the former Ghana Premier League champions after the arrival of Emmanuel Owusu from Nea Salamina.
