Aduana Stars have received about 30 applications from coaches from European and Asian - PRO Evans Oppong

Spanish and Portuguese coaches have applied for the vacant managerial job at Aduana Stars, according to the spokesperson of the club Evans Oppong.

He has revealed that the Dormaa based side have received about thirty applications from coaches around the world to coach Yahaya Mohammed, Sam Adams, Noah Martey, Zakaria Mumuni and co at Dormaa.

Evans reveals that some European and Asian coaches have also applied to be the next head coach of the club following the quick departures of Yusuf Abubakar and Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

“We have received about 30 applications from coaches who want to become our next coach.” Evans Oppong told Shalom radio

“There are applications from Spanish coaches, Portuguese coaches. Other Asian coaches have also applied.”

“Some local coaches have also shown interest for the job but most of them are currently under contract with other teams and so they have pleaded with us not to mention their names which we have agreed not to disclose their identities” Oppong explained.

The club Public Relations Officer adds that Aduana Stars will select a competent coach regardless of race and nationality.

“For us at Aduana, it is about the competency of a coach that matters most bit his color or nationality. We want a very good coach. Just that.”

However, the club is expected to name a substantive head coach by October 3.
