Aduana Stars on course to winning domestic double this season

Ghanaian giants, Aduana Stars could win two titles at the end of the 2022/23 football season.

The Dormaa-based club on Sunday locked horns with the Porcupine Warriors in a Round 16 clash of this season’s MTN FA Cup competition.

Following a close contest between the two Ghana Premier League clubs, a solitary strike from Sam Adams was enough to help Aduana Stars to secure a 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko.

Courtesy of the result, Aduana Stars are through to the quarter-finals of the domestic cup competition.

In addition to the MTN FA Cup success, Aduana Stars also remain top of the Ghana Premier League standings after Week 18.

With a five-point gap at the top of the standings, the team has a good chance of emerging as champions at the end of the campaign.

The club led by head coach Paa Kwasi Fabin surely has the belief that winning both the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup this season is possible.

The team must, however, put up a fight to be successful at the end of the ongoing season.
