The Public Relations Officer of Aduana Stars, Oppong Evans has rubbished head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi's claims that some people within the management were influencing decisions against him.

According to him, there is no iota of truth the former Hearts of Oak trainer's claim that he did not select the 14 players for the trip to Morocco to play Raja Casablanca in their final group game of the Confederation Cup campaign, was far from the truth, adding that “nobody is allowed to select players for any competition except the head coach.”

“What he said is far from the truth because he is the coach and he trains with the players so who will make the selection for him?”

According to him, no one has ever interfered in Kenichi’s selections although they are not too happy about the 4-1 4-1 formation which he normally plays as well as playing some players out of position.

Oppong Evans also mentioned that the decision to take only 14 players was due to injuries in camp as well as circumstances beyond the control of the management

On Kenichi’s decision to leave after their last CAF Confederation Cap match, Mr Oppong revealed that management is yet to take a decision concerning his future at the club but are not aware of his decision to quit.

“He came to help us play the CAF Confederation Cup after which we will decide on his fate but if he has decided to go no one can stop him. We as management have not taken a decision to sack him,” he stressed.
