The two-time Ghana Premier League wants to augment their squad for next season but will have to do away with some players in the team.

The fire boys, however, intends to sever ties with not less than 12 players to pave way for new arrivals at the club for the 2023/24 football season.

According to Kumasi-based Silver FM, the club’s hierarchy have decided to offload some players, with most of them being senior players of the club.

Experienced goalkeeper Joseph Addo leads players expected to depart the club. The former Ghana youth goalkeeper will seek a move abroad after several years in the local scene.

Despite spending several weeks at the summit of the Premier League standing for a greater part of the season, the Dormaa-based side lacked the durability to secure their third league title as Medeama claimed their first-ever title.
