AFC Wimbledon striker Kwesi Appiah delighted with opening day victory against Fleetwood Town

Ghana striker, Kwesi Appiah has expressed excitement over AFC Wimbledon's opening day victory against Fleetwood Town in the English League One. 

Appiah, who started the game was replaced in the 76th minute by James Hanson as he helped his side to their first three points of the season.

The away side marched to an impressive opening day victory at Fleetwood with Joe Pigott striking yet another important goal for Neal Ardley's men.

Pigott, who scored vital goals last season to help keep the club in League One after joining in January, struck a 61st-minute winner to earn a 1-0 victory for Wimbledon.

Kwesi Appiah is looking forward to an injury-free season as the League One club battles to earn promotion to the championship.

The former Crystal Palace player, who was excited with the opening day victory shared his delight on twitter with fans of the club.
