Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says they want to revenge their recent defeat to Egypt when they meet on Wednesday.

The Black Stars lost 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandria in a 2018 FIFA World Cup  last November.

Also in 2010, Egypt denied Ghana the chance to end the country's long wait for the Africa Cup of Nations title in Angola when they defeated the Black Stars 1-0 in the finals.

Gyan who wants to lead Ghana to the title this year says they will avenge on Wednesday.

“We must win against Egypt, in as much as we want to keep our 100% record, we also want to avenge the defeat,” he told the press in a pre-match conference yesterday.

“You remember we lost to Egypt in the finals of the 2010 AFCON in Angola, we also lost to them last year in a World Cup qualifier, so the game is very important to us and we must win.”
