AFCON 2017: Asamoah Gyan insists they must start well by beating Uganda

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has noted they have to beat Uganda in their Group D opener to stand a chance of making it to the next stage of the competition.

The Black Stars will take on the Cranes at the Stade Port Gentil Stadium on Tuesday.

Uganda for some time now have been tough customers for Ghana but Gyan who will be hoping to lead the team to victory sys they must start well.

"We have to start well by beating Uganda on Tuesday," he said

"Uganda is a very good side and we all know what they are capable of, last four results haven't gone the way we would have wished but to win this competition we must start very well today."
