AshantiGold goalkeeper Robert Dabuo believes his former teammate Fatua Dauda has what it takes to become Black Stars number one and is sure he will shine if given the chance at this year's Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Duada who was initially dropped from the 26-man provisional team was handed a late call up to join the team in Dubai following an injury to Adam Kwarasey.
“Fatau and Ofori are in the national team as representatives of the Ghana Premier League even though Fatau just joined the NPL," Dabuo told sports crusader.
“I am sure they will return home as winners of the AFCON and make a strong case for footballers in the local league.
“A great tournament for any of Ofori or Dauda will speak for the local players and change the way we are perceived.
Hopefully they get the chance to excel at the tournament”, “Any of our goal keepers at this tournament will not struggle becoming the number one in most countries. From Razak Braimah to Ofori or Dauda, we have high quality goal keepers going into the tournament. I think it is save to call them three number ones”, Robert added.
