Head coach of the Cranes of Uganda Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has revealed his number one goalkeeper Denis Onyango will be available to face Ghana in their group D opener of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Onyango, who plays for South African side Mamelodi Sundowns, and was adjudged the African Best Player Based in Africa at the recent Caf Awards Gala injured himself in a pre-tournament friendly against Ivory Coast.
There were fears he could miss the opener against Ghana on Tuesday but in a press conference today ahead of their clash with the Black stars, coach Michu insisted his goalkeeper will be available to face Ghana.
"He had no problem. He is ready to play against Ghana." Micho revealed.
The Cranes will face the Black Stars at Stade de Port-Gentil, three months after forcing a scoreless away draw against the Ghanaians in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
