Ghana coach Avram Grant has disclosed that his deputy skipper Andre Ayew is unwell ahead of the Black Stars clash with Uganda tomorrow.

Ayew has reportedly been infected with Malaria during his short stay in the Gabonese city of Port Gentil.

Grant at a press conference today admitted that the West Ham star is unwell but may be available for the game.

Ayew scored Ghana's only goal of the tournament so far from the penalty spot as Ghana beat Uganda 1-0 in their Group D opener.

The West Ham United star is the second Black Stars player after Harrison Afful to have contracted malaria in camp during the tournament.

Ghana will qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2017 AFCON with one match to spare if they beat Mali tomorrow.
