AFCON 2017: Yusif Chibsah warns Black Stars to avoid complacency

Former Ghana player Yusif Chibsah wants the Black Stars to eschew complacency if they are to win the 2017 Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Ghana will be hoping to end a 34-year wait for the Africa Cup of Nations title after missing out narrowly at the last edition of the tournament to Ivory Coast in Equatorial Guinea.

For many Ghanaians, this is the time and the Black Stars must go all out and win the tournament. Yusif Chibsah believes the current crop of players can do it but will need to stay focus.

“This AFCON will be very tough, all the team coming are very good and so the Black Stars must not be complacent,” he said.

“Although Ghana is seen as one of the countries to win the title as think they shouldn’t put that in their head.

“They shouldn’t underrate any of the teams and I know with that they can do something.”

Ghana are in Group D alongside Egypt, Mali and Uganda.
