Black Stars new addition, Kwabena Owusu has indicated that he is happy his dream to play for the senior national team has come true after being named in the final 23-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
After spending a week in the team’s camp in Dubai, the young Leganes attacker was named amongst the final 23 players expected to battle the rest of Africa later this month in Egypt.
Having already represented the West African Country at the u-23 level, this will be the first time Kwabena Owusu will be playing for the senior national team. In a Twitter post on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, the prolific attacker has stressed that the opportunity given to him is a dream come true.

The Leganes attacker spent last season on loan at Salamanca where he scored 10 goals in 25 appearances. Besides that, his exploits with the Black Meteors has been impressive where he netted five times in four appearances.
He will be competing with the likes of Asamoah Gyan, Jordan Ayew as well as Caleb Ekuban for a place in the starting lineup.
