AFCON 2021: Uninspiring Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah miss out on best XI after group stage

Liverpool duo of Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah missed out in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations best XI after group stage.

The pair have not been at their usual best since the commencement of the tournament early January.

Sadio Mane despite helping Senegal to secure qualification to the knockout stage of the competition, he is yet to glitter after scoring just ones for the Taranga Lions in three games.

Mohammed Salah on other hand is yet to glitter for the Pharaohs of Egypt scoring just a goal in the qualification to the Round of 16.

Due to their uninspiring performance, they were unable to make the best XI after group stage and were subsequent named on the bench.
