Head coach for the South Africa National team, Molefi Ntseki has set his sight on leading his team to emerge as winners of Group C at the end of the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Following the draw for the qualifiers to the next AFCON, the Bafana Bafana has been pitted in Group C together with Ghana, Sudan, as well as Sao Tome and Principe.

Even before South Africa plays her first match, Coach Molefi Ntseki insists his team will not only be looking to secure qualification but their main aim will be to finish as group leaders.

“We are not just playing a team in our group to qualify. We have raised the bar to say we want to win the group”, the experienced gaffer said in an interview after taking charge of his first match against Mali

He added, “Winning the group means every game we play is important because we cannot drop points. If you drop points you will be worried more about not winning the group.

“If we win the group that will also help us in terms of CAF and FIFA rankings”.

South Africa will start their campaign in the qualifiers against Ghana on November 15, 2019, in an away game.
