AFCON U-23 duties rule Samuel Obeng out of Real Oviedo’s crucial game against Las Palmas this weekend

Due to Ghana’s participation in the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, Real Oviedo is set to miss the services of star striker Samuel Obeng this weekend when they face UD Las Palmas in the Asturian derby.

The striker is on national team duties with the Black Meteors who are expected to lock horns with their counterpart from South Africa in the battle for a third-place finish tomorrow.

Due to that, forward Samuel Obeng will not be available to feature for Real Oviedo in their crucial fixture in the Spanish Segunda Division B against Las Palmas at the Estadio Gran Canaria on Sunday.

The team will be hoping they don’t miss Obeng too much as they target a third win in their last five matches.

He is expected to be in action for the Ghana U-23 side tomorrow when they face South Africa at the Cairo International Stadium.

He will then have a couple of days rest before flying back to Spain to join his Real Oviedo teammates.
