Nigerian youngster Victor Osimhen has revealed why he chose to sign for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg instead of Arsenal.
The 18-year-old recently signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the German side from Nigerian side Ultimate Strikers Academy.
Speaking to Bild, the youngster explained:"There were many clubs that were interested in me.But my choice was Wolfsburg because I think that my development opportunities are highest here.

With many clubs thought to have been chasing the 2015 African Young Player of The Year, it is surprising that he chose to go for Wolfsburg.
Arsenal and Fiorentina were both said to be interested in the youngster but he opted for the Bundesliga instead.
"If I had gone to Arsenal, for example, I might not have found the route to the first team so quickly," he added."I love football and I have worked hard to get where I am now."
In October 2015 Osimhen scored 10 goals to help his Nigeria side to win the U17s World Cup. The 18-year-old's performances gained him a lot of attention from all over the world.

However, Osimhen's transfer has prompted comparisons to a fellow Nigerian, who failed to make the grade in Germany. Former 'wonder-boy'Macauley Chrisantus followed a similar path toWolfsburg's latest signing.
Like Osimhen, Christanus first got noticed during an U17 international tournament. However, the striker failed to make an impression in the Bundesliga. His lack of game time in Germany resulted in the forward never representing Nigeria's first team and he now currently plays in the Spanish second division withReus Deportiu.
Osimhen will be hoping he has made the right decision and that he doesn't follow Chrisantus' path. However, only time will tell.
