The Black Satellites suffered a set-back in their quest to reach the Africa Youth Championship after the Young Lions of Senegal thrashed them 3-1 in Dakar.

Mas-Ud Dramani's side were unable to cope with the might of the Senegalese who dominated all aspects of the game.

Asante Kotoko’s Dauda Mohammed lead the attack but he was unable to penetrate the Senegalese defence.

But it was his strike partner Jonathan Osabutey who scored what might be a vital away goal for the Satellite who must know win by two unanswered goals in the second half to progress.

Senegalese promising striker Niang scored twice to give the Senegalese side the lead before the third goal sealed everything.

The team is expected to arrive back in Ghana in the next 48 hours to begin preparations for the second leg.
