Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah is reported to have opened talks with Italian side Atalanta over a possible move.
According to local media reports, Atalanta have identified the Ghana international as a replacement for Ivory Coast star Franck Kessie who signed for AC Milan.
Acquah had already been linked with English Premier League sides Newcastle United and Stoke City but he might remain on the peninsula.
The 25-year-old has garnered enough experience having represented Palermo, Parma and Sampdoria.
